Mr. Hansen is in the Panther Spotlight! Mr. Hansen greets students every morning as they arrive and provides a safe space for energy release. He has taken on a huge project in modernizing the library and the resources available to students, staff, and community there. This year, he has stepped up and started providing reading interventions for some students, and the assistance he provides in the classrooms multiples our ability to drive good learning. He is willing to step in and complete any job throughout the school - Mr. Hansen is a Panther through-and-through!

I started my morning today listening to a podcast episode from Amplify about reading instruction. One of the nation's expert teachers had his daughter and nephew on, speaking to their struggles with reading and how that changed their attitude toward school. Much has changed in the average school over the past years for reading instruction - spending time in our classrooms this morning has me confident that our Panthers will not be turned off to education and school due to an inability to read. Our teachers are doing an amazing job of preparing ALL students for their futures. #180DaysOfJoy
