SCSD#3 would like to invite you to attend a celebration of learning. The district has been hard at work this year furthering opportunity for our students. Our staff will share their work on two projects. Mrs. Mack worked with ELA teachers from the other local districts to create an English course that will work in tandem with work-based learning to allow students to be placed in work-based learning for longer periods of time. Mrs. Ellingrod worked with the job coaches and counselors to refine our processes for work-based learning. Please join us to celebrate this fine work and the opportunities it opens for our students! **Notice the change of location from the previous flyer**

🚨#SourcesOfStrength Student of the Month alert!🚨 A huge congratulations to Addy Miller who was voted as our February 7-12 Student of the Month! Here is what Addy's nominating teacher had to say about her: "Addy Miller should be student of the month because of her outstanding dedication to academic excellence and her positive influence on the school community. She consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic, achieving high marks in all of her subjects, while also taking the initiative to help her peers understand complex concepts. Oftentimes, she will correct her learning on Sundays, which makes her understand the concepts deeper! 🎉🎉Please join us in celebrating our K-6 Student of the month for February, Owen Grubb! 🎊🎊 Here is what Owen's nominating teacher had to say about him: "I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Owen Grubb for Student of the Month because I have witnessed his remarkable dedication and commitment both in the classroom and beyond. Owen consistently goes above and beyond in all endeavors he undertakes. His willingness to help others is evident through his regular volunteering, particularly on cold winter mornings when he selflessly shovels the sidewalk at school. This act of kindness not only benefits his peers but also sets a positive example for the entire student body. Owen’s proactive attitude and readiness to jump in whenever needed demonstrate his strong sense of community and leadership. Academically, he is equally impressive. He approaches his studies with a diligent work ethic and an unwavering commitment to excellence. His ability to engage with challenging material and collaborate effectively with classmates speaks volumes about his intellectual capabilities. He is not one to shy away from hard work; he is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure his success and that of his peers. Owen’s exemplary character, work ethic, and dedication to his peers make him an outstanding candidate. I am confident that he will continue to make a positive impact in his future endeavors." 🎉Congratulations, Owen! Thank you for being such a great Panther leader!🎊 #PantherClaw 🐾

I spent the week ensuring that A-C students, and all WY students, are kept in mind when our federal legislators are making decisions. Changes are surely ahead, but we will navigate them well and keep education at the forefront. https://www.edweek.org/leadership/principals-make-nervous-appeals-on-capitol-hill-protect-our-funding/2025/03 #PantherClaw #PrincipalsAdvocate
