Title IX

All employees, students and community members are hereby notified that Sheridan County School District Number Three (SCSD #3) does not discriminate on the basis of sex and it is required by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 not to discriminate in such a manner. Inquiries related to compliance with Title IX shall be directed to the Title IX Coordinator listed below. 

SCSD #3 adheres to the training requirements required by Title IX. Title IX training materials are available upon request from the District Business Office.

What is Sexual Harassment

  • Quid pro quo – a district employee conditioning the provision of an aid, benefit, or service of the district on an individual’s participation in unwelcome sexual conduct.

  • Unwelcome conduct to be determined by a reasonable person to be so severe, pervasive, and objectively offensive that it effectively denies a person equal access to the district’s educational program; or

  • "Sexual assault” (as defined by the Clery Act), “dating violence”, “domestic violence”, or “stalking” (as defined in the Violence Against Women Act)
