It was a great day at work. I was able to work with our teams today in student meetings. Joy comes from being in a district that values students above all, and puts in the work to show it. Our teachers will lean in next week, with an instructional framework to guide the way. Students, see you Monday; this is going to be an excellent year! #180DaysOfJoy

SCSD#3 Strategic Plan
An unbelievable day 1 back with staff. I am joyful that we have a strategic plan and instructional framework in place that is already guiding our efforts. Thanks to our great staff for the full day of learning today. Thanks as well to Side-by-Side Consulting. Tonight we were able to see most of our students as well - it is nice to have their energy back in the building. One week until we get that every day. #180DaysOfJoy

Joy today came from having many of our amazing staff back in the building. The real work started, tomorrow will bring more, and students are here soon. We have a great team - even if a deer has to take a hit here and there. #180DaysofJoy

TOMORROW! In preparation for the school year, we will be hosting an open house and online registration in cooperation with the Town of Clearmont and Clearmont Community Church on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 4:00 - 6:00. Please plan to join us for a community dinner beginning at 4:30, meet the new staff, and prepare for the first day of school. Clearmont Community Church will have backpacks full of school supplies available for all K-6 students, please remember to thank the church for their generous donation. 6-12 students plan to check out your Chromebook from Mr. Broersma in Room 310. If you are inclined, bring a lawn chair and some yard games and enjoy the evening among friends. We would like to recommend that all parents complete the online registration from home, if possible, by logging into the PowerSchool student/parent portal and clicking on the arrow to the right of the “Click Here”, choose school forms to update or register your student. Please remember that you will need to update forms for each child. In addition to the online registration, we are having you complete a new 22-23 emergency/medical contact sheet for each child registered. These forms will be kept in the SCSD#3 Emergency Evacuation Binder. Additionally, there will be an activities participation meeting for all students and parents planning to participate in any activities this year on the night of the 8th from 6:00-7:00.

NEW TEACHER SPOTLIGHT! "Hello all, my name is Amanda Andreen and I am the new 3rd & 4th-grade classroom teacher at Arvada-Clearmont Elementary School this fall. I am so excited to be joining an amazing group of educators. I have been married to my husband, David, for 20 years and have lived in Recluse for the majority of my life. I have two sons, Ian, who will be a junior, and Isaac, who will be an 8th grader this fall here in Clearmont. I love to spend time with my family, go camping, and read. I have been in and out of the educational field since my oldest was born from a substitute teacher to a paraprofessional to bus driver. I am so happy, excited, and nervous that I finally took the leap of faith and finished up my teaching degree. However, I am ready to jump in with both feet and take on this new challenge. " Join us and welcome Amanda Andreen again to our SCSD#3 family!
