Michelle Campos is in the Panther spotlight this week. Michelle has been working hard in the classroom and on the court! She is taking college courses to challenge herself. In VB, her coach cites increased confidence and great ability.

Trinity Carmichael is our spotlighted Panther this week! Teachers had this to say about her: Trinity is a passionate learner and full of life. I always see her with a smile on her face and ready to take on the day! Trinity has brought joy and laughter to the 5th grade this year. She has worked hard for the first week of school and I look forward to seeing her growth! Trinity always has a smile on her face and a friendly greeting!!!! Trinity is fun to be around!

Stefhanie Buhr is ending a 17 year stint of service to A-C. She will be missed by students and staff alike. #180DaysOfJoy

Finished working with our secondary students today to ensure that they are prepared for our literacy step up this year - look at all that green! The work our students put in to make this the situation in which we find ourselves - terrific. #180DaysOfJoy

It was a great day at work. I was able to work with our teams today in student meetings. Joy comes from being in a district that values students above all, and puts in the work to show it. Many staff stepped up today - I appreciate everyone who took a leadership role in our HUB teams. Working with teachers today demonstrated the impact that our strategic plan is going to have for the district. We have direction and expanded skills. I am proud to be part of a team of professionals tackling important work for students. #180DaysOfJoy

An unbelievable day 1 back with staff. I am joyful that we have a strategic plan and instructional framework in place that is already guiding our efforts. Joy today came from having many of our amazing staff back in the building. The real work started, tomorrow will bring more, and students are here soon. We have a great team - even if a deer has to take a hit here and there. #180DaysofJoy

TOMORROW! In preparation for the school year, we will be hosting an open house and online registration in cooperation with the Town of Clearmont and Clearmont Community Church on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 4:00 - 6:00. Please plan to join us for a community dinner beginning at 4:30, meet the new staff, and prepare for the first day of school. Clearmont Community Church will have backpacks full of school supplies available for all K-6 students, please remember to thank the church for their generous donation. 6-12 students plan to check out your Chromebook from Mr. Broersma in Room 310. If you are inclined, bring a lawn chair and some yard games and enjoy the evening among friends. We would like to recommend that all parents complete the online registration from home, if possible, by logging into the PowerSchool student/parent portal and clicking on the arrow to the right of the “Click Here”, choose school forms to update or register your student. Please remember that you will need to update forms for each child. In addition to the online registration, we are having you complete a new 22-23 emergency/medical contact sheet for each child registered. These forms will be kept in the SCSD#3 Emergency Evacuation Binder. Additionally, there will be an activities participation meeting for all students and parents planning to participate in any activities this year on the night of the 8th from 6:00-7:00.
