Dr. Chase is in the Panther Spotlight! Dr. Chase works with students K-12 to develop an appreciation for music. He is able to meet every student where they are and help them improve throughout the year! He is a steadying force for our community, his educational experience is valuable for all. The constant smile and positive attitude with which he approaches each day helps make A-C the best place to work.
Tessa Anderson is in the Panther Spotlight!
She is willing to take the rigorous courses and move towards her future goals. She is also taking on leadership roles with the Student Council and SADD Chapter. A great addition to our school!
Starting a new school is never easy; however, Tessa's bubbly personality and authentic character made her transition seamless. Her willingness to include all in the classroom makes our environment more positive.
Tessa is a joy to have in class! I love her positive energy, and the kindness and compassion she shows to others.
Trig Hackett is in the Panther Spotlight!
Trig is loyal, kind, and very good at finding his way over, through, and around obstacles.
Trig is willing to help others and has a great attitude. He is friendly with everyone.
Trig is a hard worker in and out of the classroom. He is always willing to help when needed. He has grown so much this year!

Congratulations to our September Wellness Challenge raffle winners - Mrs. Ellingrod and Mrs. Buchanan kept their focus on wellness all month - good work!

I started my morning today listening to a podcast episode from Amplify about reading instruction. One of the nation's expert teachers had his daughter and nephew on, speaking to their struggles with reading and how that changed their attitude toward school. Much has changed in the average school over the past years for reading instruction - spending time in our classrooms this morning has me confident that our Panthers will not be turned off to education and school due to an inability to read. Our teachers are doing an amazing job of preparing ALL students for their futures.

SCSD#3 will run a shortened bell schedule on October 25. Students will be released at 2:00.
Our peer accreditation visit from the state will be finishing at this time and the team will give a report on their findings at 2:00 in the multipurpose room. The shortened bell schedule allows all who wish to attend. Buses will run at 2:00 and 4:00.
The kindergarten students learned about self control, focused breathing, AND had fun with bubbles!

Today, students were practicing proper safety and procedures for administering subcutaneous and intermuscular injections. Great conversations were had about the advantages and disadvantages of each!

Courtcoming Dance Saturday, October 14 in the multipurpose room from 7:00 pm-midnight. Dress semi-formal for 7th-12th grades.
Casey Buhr is in the Panther Spotlight! Mr. Buhr keeps us all in school by ensuring that classrooms are clean and ready for students to learn each day. He drives routes and trips, delivering students safely to wherever they may need to be. Most important of all, he is alway there to greet you with a smile when you meet him in the hallway!
