Congratulations to our spirit week award winners! In our K-6 wing, it was the kindergarteners with 100% participation all week that took home the spirit stick. Up in the 7-12 wing, the seniors stepped up nearly 100% participation for the week to take home their spirit stick.

Clear Creek Revival playing for Valentine’s Day! #180DaysOfJoy

Lots of shake up in our #SourcesOfStrength Dodgeball standings yesterday! Little Tessa and the Blowfish snag their first 3 points of the tournament thanks to a strong performance from Wyatt Holland, and despite a lengthy last man standing stay from Trevor Martinez, Rodzilla pull out the win against Tmac's Big Macs to grab a firm hold on solo 1st place.

Match day number 4 in our #SourcesOfStrength Healthy Activities Dodgeball tournament brings us our first double header. In our first matchup, we have Little Tessa and the Blowfish taking on our youngest team of the lot, The Crabs. Following that, we have a battle for 1st place as Rodzilla goes head to head with TMac's Big Macs. Who do you have in each match?!

Ryan Alberding won the Open class 2024 JC Champion Lifting Belt!  This was a fundraiser competition for Special Olympics in Johnson County. #180DaysOfJoy

Mr. Christensen and Mrs. Camino have been accepted to present at UNITED: The National Conference on School Leadership this summer! The topic being presented will be Collective Efficacy: Tools to Optimize Student Achievement. This will tie directly to the work done in SCSD#3 this year implementing our instructional framework and in HUB meetings to elevate the collective efficacy of our staff and students. We will have the opportunity to share our path to success with school leaders from across the country.

Another fantastic Socratic seminar today at A-C, student discussion leading the way to confident Panthers who will lead the future. Today's topic was the beginnings of the civil war. #180DaysOfJoy

Mrs. Camino is in the Panther Spotlight! She took on a new role for A-C this year, as an instructional coach for the staff. She has worked closely with our consultant team from Side by Side Educational Consulting to help teachers grow with our instructional framework and strategic plan. She is integral to student achievement at every level of our organization. Mrs. Camino cares for every Panther and is a highlight of many of our days. Her dedication and work ethic are a model toward which all can aim!

Quinn Harman is in the Panther Spotlight! Quinn is a hard worker who greets her peers and teachers with a smile every day. She is willing to jump in and offer to lend a hand to anyone in need. She pushed herself both in school and outside of school to be the best she can be. I am so impressed with Quinn's incredible work ethic! She is willing to take on new and challenging college classes and still maintains a balance with rodeoing year round. I am excited to see the great things the future holds for Quinn. When a person rolled their ankle while playing volleyball, everyone offered their comfort and support, but Quinn rushed to get ice and genuinely connected with this obviously hurt individual. Quinn's practical and continual helpfulness makes our school productive and welcoming! Quinn is an extraordinary young woman with a sweet smile and amazing work ethic. Quinn does such an amazing job working with our littles when we do K-12 Sources of Strength activities. While Quinn is a quiet student with her words, her hard work and high performances are very loud. I have never once seen Quinn back away from a challenge here at school and she always finds a way to conquer those challenges as well.

Treylah Smith is in the Panther Spotlight! Treylah's personality brings a lot to the classroom, whether it's through her humor or her desire to do well in her learning. She is able to lift her peers and encourage them to give their own learning a go when they need it. Treylah has a great laugh and a fun personality. I really enjoy working with her! I love the joy Treylah brings to class! She makes everyone smile with her contagious laugh! Treylah is constantly working hard to keep up with her classwork and communicate with her teachers. Even when life throws a few curve balls at her, Treylah figures out how to swing and hit anything thrown at her! Treylah's laugh is not only lively and often, but it is also contagious. Her energy creates more positivity in the classroom. Plus, her organizational skills and penmanship are excellent examples to follow. I am so thankful that I have gotten to be a part of Treylah's life for so many years. Treylah is so kind and funny. She does an amazing job working with and helping the K-6 kiddos. We are proud of you Treylah! Way to go!

Casey Ambler is in the Panther Spotlight! Casey is witty and always finds a way to entertain his peers. He has a mathematical mind and loves to push himself to try different mental math calculations! Casey is a very bright and funny young man. I am so glad he is here. Casey is very academically strong and has a great sense of humor. He contributes to class in a positive way and is full of energy all of the time. Casey is willing to put in the hard work and stays focused once given the task to complete. Keep up the good work, Casey!! Casey contributes with a smile, every day. He has a great sense of humor and does an amazing job of leading his peers when given an opportunity.

Thanks to a strong performance from T-Mac himself (Trevor Martinez), T-Mac's Big Macs pull into a tie for 1st place as they take all 3 points in their matchup against Little Tessa and the Blowfish. Day three of our #SourcesOfStrength Healthy Activities Dodgeball Tournament is in the books!
