Mr. Broersma is in the Panther Spotlight! Mr. B has taken an active leadership role in the school/district this year. He has led in our adoption of Wit & Wisdom, as well as our pilot of Eureka^2. He is a member of the district steering committee. He has taken on many of the duties of being technology director as well. Mr. Broersma is participating in Level Up, a group of teachers of the year for Wyoming, and learning how to better advocate for our students, among other important efforts. He started a master's program this fall. In addition to all this - he is still a great teacher in the classroom and a father to more than any of us can count!
Tessa Christianson is in the Panther Spotlight!
I love how Tessa fearlessly stands up for her friends and what she believes in!
When it comes to Strength and Conditioning, Tessa is one of the strongest kids we have in this school. Her work ethic is unmatchable when she wants it to be and she seems to get lucky in ALMOST every conditioning workout and beat Mr. Spade somehow...
Confidently, Tessa never shirks from stating her opinion in class. Her ability to relate concepts to our world today makes our discussions grounded and purposeful. Also, her recent directions, insights, and participation in the February Dodgeball Tournament has many eager to attend. Thanks for being a leader within our school!
Tanner Doyle is in the Panther Spotlight!
Tanner has shown amazing grit and determination to learn in my classroom. He is a joy to teach!
Tanner is friendly and always says Hi in the hallways. He has great ideas and works hard to participate in class. I have seen lots of growth! Good job Tanner!
The students love how he makes them laugh and how much of a friend he has become! The younger students look up to him and he has been working hard in class!
Tanner attacks life full force and wants to be part of the action. He is extremely social which is shown through class discussion and conversations he has with his teachers. When he is absent, our class has lower energy. Tanner brings the gusto!
Tanner has such a kind heart. He always says hi to me in the halls and asks me how my day is or how I'm doing. I love our talks together.
Tanner has a willingness even on difficult tasks. He is a respectful young man, who will always make sure to say hello and ask about your day!
Tanner is nothing but respectful when I see him in the halls. He always asks me how my day is going, and I appreciate his maturity as a fifth grader. He is a rockstar!
You are invited to our next quarterly listening session on Tuesday, February 6, in the Clearmont Multi-Purpose Room!
The main discussion topic is the future of the Arvada School.
Great work today, with kindergartners leading the way!

What great kids we have - this email showcases it!
Hello Mrs. Betz,
I wanted to commend how well-behaved and respectful your students are. I see hundreds if not thousands of students each year, and your basketball teams rank in my top 3 on respect for themselves and their surroundings. Your teams were engaged throughout the entire museum and a joy to give a tour to, they truly were the highlight of my day.
I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with them and hope to see more of your outstanding athletes in the future.
Best,
Haley - Director of Education

SCSD#3 will have school tomorrow. A couple of elementary classes will be relocating to different rooms in the building; however, we are eager to have everyone back.
Also, we are going to have BBQ beef sandwiches for lunch!
Sheridan County School District #3 will be closed Monday, January 15th in order to prepare the building for safe learning. Our maintenance crew is working to clean up water and restore full function to our boilers. At this time, we anticipate the building will be ready on Tuesday.
Quinn is a new member of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society, which recognizes the academic achievement of college students and provides opportunities for its members to grow as scholars and leaders. Phi Theta Kappa is by invitation only and is offered to selected college students with a 3.5 GPA or higher and in the top 10% of students on their campus. The acceptance rate is around 11% nationally. Congratulations, Quinn!

Mike Buss is in the Panther Spotlight! Mr. Buss took over this week as out maintenance supervisor and is working hard to take that position in stride. He has great plans for ensuring that A-C is a safe, clean, secure facility for our students and community. Mike also drives a bus route for us, wanting to contribute to our students every way possible. He always has a smile and a joke ready, keeping all on their toes. Mr. Buss is leading us in the Panther Way!
Dallas Hepp is in the Panther Spotlight!
Dallas contributes to class and loves to help others. She is very enthusiastic about what we are doing. Good job Dallas!
Dallas is such a hard worker and she always tries her very best!
Dallas is an intelligent, talented and serious 2nd grade student who often shares a smile and balances her seriousness with a healthy sense of humor.
Dallas is an amazing mix of spunky, spicy, smart, and hardworking. Her desire and drive to learn is so strong and will take her so far in life. Her drive is one of my favorite qualities that I see in her. Way to go Dallas Pearl!
Addy Miller is in the Panther Spotlight!
Addy is always smiling and I enjoy the positive energy she brings to class each day!
Addy loves to learn and work with her peers. She contributes to discussion and others follow her lead. She is building her leadership skills in Student Council this year as the 8th grade representative. Good job Addy!
Addy makes me laugh every time I am with her. She has such a bright and shiny personality that brings a little sunshine and laughter anywhere she is. Addy is also very, very smart. I love when she weighs in (which is often) on what we are discussing.
Addy is so much stronger than she realizes. During the entire semester in Junior High Strength and Conditioning, her numbers were matching up with or even beating some of the high school numbers. She also has this rare quality of ALWAYS being happy and joyful in class, which is as impressive as it is maddening 😀 Keep it up, Addy B!
Garrett Bond is in the Panther Spotlight!
Garrett is fun to have in class! He contributes and is willing to work and/or help others. Good job Garrett!
Garrett has a wonderful sense of humor and always brings a smile to my face.
Garrett is as smart and talented as they make 'em, and he treats others with respect and kindness.
Garrett is a very considerate and hard working student. He is very helpful whenever needed and is a joy to work with. Keep up the good work, Garrett!!!
Garrett has proven himself to be a leader in the elementary. Hard work and initiative are traits he's continuing to grow!
Garth is such a fun kid to have in class. He is always participating, working hard, getting classmates to work hard, and taking my sarcastic comments very well. The best part about him is he deals the sarcasm almost as well as he takes it.
Garrett is an amazing young man. He is such a great big brother to Bailey. He would always buy things for his sister during school store. Garrett is someone you can rely on and trust. He has done such an amazing job of coaching other students on making better choices. I am so glad he is here!

Smiles and learning - tough not to be having a great day when the energy in classrooms is like this!
