Caden Manor is in the Panther Spotlight this week!
Caden has a natural skill to problem solve.
Caden has stepped up in strength and conditioning this year and it is very apparent he wants to improve his physical fitness. No quit in this kid.
Caden’s witty personality lightens the mood of our classroom. We love celebrating your many birthdays, Caden!
Caden had really taken a different role in classes this year; he’s very active in discussions and is working great with his classmates. Great sense of humor!
Caden is very quick witted, smart, and funny. He is a joy to be around.

Carol Perry is in the Panther Spotlight this week! Mrs. Perry is taking a lead role in helping the district prepare for an upcoming accreditation visit. Her work to ensure that we are not only ready but that each aspect of accreditation has a meaningful impact on the future of the district is commendable. We appreciate the depth of knowledge that Mrs. Perry brings around district processes.

Over the past year our staff have put together a great school improvement plan, strategic plan, and instructional framework. We have learned so much about quality instruction and true intervention. Our accountability report shows the results of this work.
And, this is only the beginning.

Guest post from Mrs. Camino

For our first A-C Community Lunch, we had a great turnout. The energy when our secondary students sit down with the elementary for lunch is palpable. Thank you A-C for your continued support of our school and students. Please plan to join us for our next one on October 4th at 11:00 for some biscuits and gravy.

Congratulations to Mr. Christensen and Mr. Broersma for winning the August health/fitness challenge! They have won a $50 gift certificate of their choosing and a months worth of bragging rights! Thanks to all who participated and good luck in September!

Trying hard today to understand the thrill everyone is experiencing of having a four-day work week. That's just a normal week for our Panthers! Great to be part of an organization that is accomplishing great work in a shortened time frame - even if it does make these "four-day" weeks seem less special.
We do have something special this week though - we get to go to school on a Friday!

Extended Day Program will start Tuesday, September 5 at 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Students who need to ride the late bus must sign up in the main office by 1:00pm. We will have this program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school, except on holidays, games etc. This will be held both semesters. Students can check by Mrs. Ellingrod's office for supervisor's name for that day. This will also tell them the location of the program. Contact the main office (Ext 100) or Mrs. Ellingrod for any questions (Ext 120).

Interventions working and lots of great writing.

Mr. Caleb Green is in the Panther Spotlight this week! Mr. Green worked hard over the summer for our FFA program, culminating in a Welcome Back BBQ for our FFA chapter last night. He was awarded an $88,000 grant over the summer to bolster the curricular materials in our ag classroom, and he continues to work hard to bring great education to his students every day.

Chloe Mauck is in the Panther Spotlight this week!
Chloe is passionate about going above and beyond in her academics and extracurriculars.
Chloe is willing to be a leader in our school this year. She is part of our Student Council and recently joined the SADD Chapter.
Chloe has high expectations for herself. She always advocates for herself and her learning by asking questions, doing corrections, and having a can do attitude. Plus, she is a positive person to be around!
Chloe knows what she needs to do and always does it with no hesitations. I can’t think of the last time she didn’t get her class work done.
She puts in the work everyday and is not afraid to ask for help when she needs it.
Chloe is a pleasure to have in class! I love her positive outlook in whatever task she asked to complete.
Chloe is a dependable person you would want to be a part of your team.

Sabriel Svalina is in the Panther Spotlight this week!
Sabriel is a very caring person who likes to give hugs!
Sabriel always has a story to tell and she tells it with ENTHUSIASM!
Sabriel has no quit. She is always working towards her end goal and getting better in class.
Sabriel perseveres with nary a complaint of it being hard.
Sabriel is very observant and looks out for those who are younger than her, especially at recess.

This evening our board had the great opportunity to meet with other boards from across Northeast Wyoming to connect and work together on education at the WSBA Fall Roundup. Great to be a part of such an amazing group of dedicated volunteers.

So much good accomplished today. Our 7-12 team discussed next steps in implementation of The Writing Revolution in their classrooms, which will lead to great learning for our students.
This afternoon our district steering committee met to prepare for our upcoming accreditation visit, which we are going to knock out of the park.
I am excited at the work being done in the district and the continued commitment of so many great professionals to education in Eastern Sheridan County.
