Congratulations to Dellana who was the 7-12 Student of the Month of February! Here is what was said about Dellana: "Dellana is such a great leader, but not by voice or by opinion. She is a leader by example, doing all the right things quietly, without recognition, and when others aren’t watching. She has one of the best work ethics of everyone in this building (teachers included) and she is always making sure to do what she can to make herself better in everything she participates in."

Congratulations to Braxton who is K-6 Student of the Month of February!
Here is what his nomination said, "Everyday when Brax is finished with his math, he comes over to help my first graders with their math or he does a math game with them. He is so kind and patient with them. He could easily be enjoying free time, but he chooses to help. This is the Panther way."

Reading for day 2 of March Book Madness! Students have 4 books under their belts for the month, already.

Congratulations to "Little Tessa and the Blowfish" who won the championship in our #SourcesOfStrength Healthy Activities Dodgeball Tournament! LTatB started the tournament as the 3 seed (out of 6) and worked their way to the top taking out "The Crabs" in the final!

Dan Bircher is in the Panther Spotlight! Dan is as dependable as they come, waking early to make sure that our students from the Murphy Gulch route are delivered safely to school. He greets all with a smile and makes sure that his riders know they are cared for and valued the moment they start their trip to school. Dan is an integral part of the Panther community!

Ammarie Pierson is in the Panther Spotlight!
Ammarie has a great vision for her future and she knows what she needs to do to get there. Each day I see her putting in the work that will help her achieve those goals. She is a rockstar!
I have been so impressed this school year with Ammarie's overall dedication and drive to do well in her learning and athletic endeavors. In class, she speaks up for what she needs and really gives her learning her all. She's even taking on the challenge of college courses. Way to go Ammarie!
Ammarie is a kind person who cares deeply about those around her. She has a great sense of humor and is a hard worker. This semester she took on the challenge of a college course, and she is rising to the occasion. We are very proud of her!
Ammarie is such a strong kid. I am very impressed with the growth she has made, not only in strength and conditioning but as a young adult as well. Keep it up, Rizzle!
Ammarie is a kind soul with a heart of gold!! She is very helpful in any situation and wants the best for others at all times. She tries her best when completing any task in front of her. Keep up the good work, Ammarie!!
I am so glad that we have Ammarie! She is so kind and sweet with the younger students, and I can always count on her to do the responsible thing. She is such a positive and essential piece of our school.

Owen Grubb is in the Panther Spotlight!
I love Owens' energy and excitement for life. He is a great kid!
Owen's talents combined with a "can do" attitude allows him to contribute abundantly to his classmates and to the entire school.
Owen is a leader in the classroom. He is always willing to put in the hard work, whether it is in school or outside of school. When you need a hand, he is the first to jump in and offer to help without expecting anything in return. His mischievous grin and giggle bring joy to our hallways!
Owen is very determined to succeed at everything he does. He is very caring about others and has a heart of gold!! Owen adds to every class discussion with insight and expertise. Keep up the good work, Owen!!

Thanks BHSU for putting on a valuable teacher fair today. We met some great teacher candidates!

Panthers,
Sheridan County School District #3 will have a virtual education day on February 27, 2024, due to winter weather conditions. I have attached the bell schedule for the day.
7-12 students will follow the bell schedule, meeting with all teachers before 1:00. Teachers will be using the class periods for instruction, as the time from 1:00-4:00 is set aside for completion of class work, meeting with teachers, etc.
K-6 students will begin the day with their ELA teacher, and the schedule will progress from there.
Please reach out via the A-C Panther app with any questions or concerns.
Stay safe and warm!

3rd and 4th graders had an opportunity today at the Wyo Theater to learn via the arts. It was great fun!

FFA speech competition for tonight has been moved to 5 pm to avoid the inclement weather forecasted later in the evening.

Thankful for a great Panther team to get all the basketball girls and boys home from Laramie Saturday night/Sunday morning. When the bus decided it didn't want to make the last hour's drive home, our dedicated group got to work to figure out how to safely get all the kids and adults home. Big thanks to all who helped in getting students and coaches home safely in one way or another: Dan Bircher, Coach Kidneigh, Josh Johnson, Chris Odegard, David and Amanda Andreen.
